Social media, dating sites and photo texts generally act as gate-keepers to dissuade undesirables from encroaching upon our personal space. Much as we would all aspire to be like Belle and accept the Beast, most of us are not locked in a castle without options.
Since 9/11 the use of patterns to identify or represent a class of people has taken on the decidedly more controversial label of “Profiling.” Right or wrong, it’s a useful time-saving device.
Upon hearing it is trendy to wear pajamas in public, people will. Everywhere. And it won’t be silk or crushed velvet. It will be natty plaid straight out of bed to the local Starbucks, the grocery store and the airport with real bed-head, not the kind that comes in a bottle.
